What Timing!

No sooner had we -- and obviously others -- started musing that a reappearance of Rev. Wright was coming, than this very morning, we wake up to see him right there at the top of Mark Halperin's frontpage. Apparently, Sarah Palin herself is complaining that Rev. Wright needs to be talked about more:

Veep prospect tells Bill Kristol about Obama and his former clergyman– “I don’t know why that association isn’t discussed more.”

“Those were appalling things that that pastor had said about our great country, and to have sat in the pews for 20 years and listened to that — with, I don’t know, a sense of condoning it, I guess, because he didn’t get up and leave — to me, that does say something about character. But, you know, I guess that would be a John McCain call on whether he wants to bring that up.”

I find it appropriate that Palin herself, McCain's newest "unhinged" attack dog is the one that wants to talk about Rev. Wright more. It's pretty obvious that she has nothing else to really hang her hat on, and can't talk in a smart way about any serious issues. As we said, it was only a matter of time before this happened.

More seriously, I have a question: how does Palin criticize Obama for this when it has been proven that just a couple of months ago, Palin herself sat passively (heck, she may have been clapping, we don't know) as a nutty pastor bellowed in her church in Wasilla that terrorist attacks in the Middle East were God's punishment against Jews for their failure to convert to Christianity? Palin is attacking Obama when her church repeatedly hosted an organization which many people find odious and even anti-Semitic. You can't make it up.

I want drive this point into the ground. Needless to say Sarah Palin's utterances really know no bounds. And again, if I am the Democrats, I welcome her "reintroduction" to the voters.
