Democratic Microtargeting
I am giving you a second must-read piece this weekend. Want to see why Democrats are surging this year? As this article in Saturday's New York Times contends, a lot of it has to do with the Democrats' hugely improved work in microtargeting. Prior to this year, Republicans had an unquestionably superior microtargeting operation, and it was a big reason why George Bush was able to squeeze out a tight win in Ohio in 2004 and thus win re-election. No more.
